Building the next phase
As the school grows, so too will the needs for further classrooms. We have full planning permission approval and the blueprints are ready - all we need is to raise the funds with which to build the next classroom block and an accommodation block.
The first phase of building has come in on time and on budget, and we have seen and heard the stories from the workers who have built the current structures.
One man told us that he can now afford to buy 2kg of meat each week to feed his family a better diet - to us that is one fat chicken, but to his family it is a massive increase in their quality of life.
By building the school we are not only providing the infrastructure for the community - there are many people along the journey who are benefitting from being employed in making it happen.
Another worker told us that he is saving towards a bicycle so that he is able to travel further in search of employment in the future.
These people want to work their way out of poverty. They do not want charity, they simply need a helping hand to get started.
