Who we are
The Joey Dunlop Foundation is named after William Joseph Dunlop, OBE, MBE, (1952 - 2000), who will long be remembered by bikers world wide and his many friends for his record breaking achievements on the famous Isle of Man TT Mountain circuit. Joey was awarded the MBE in 1986 for his services to sport and in 1996 he was awarded the OBE for his humanitarian work for children in Romanian orphanages.
The Joey Dunlop Foundation was formed by as group of ardent Joey Dunlop fans. After approaching Joey's wife Linda and with her agreement, set to raise funds to be able to construct a facility that would of benefit to the community and also a fitting memorial in recognition of the varied achievements of Joey. It was agreed that Joey, if given his wish, would have liked to have constructed a facility to benefit people, especially children, with a disability.
After many years of fundraising Bradddan Bridge House was purchased in June 2009, plans for the conversion from a single dwelling to three self-contained apartments were passed in July 2009. Work began on the conversion to create disabled visitor acommodation.

How you can help us
Following a very profitable TT 2010 we now have the necessary funds to complete the outstanding works to Braddan Bridge House. We would, however, like to keep improving the facility and to keep the Joey Dunlop Holiday Home running in future years! To do this we need your help.
If you would like to join our team, help with fundraising or with sponsorship we would love to hear from you. We are looking for sponsors to help assist with the cost of travel and accommodating children from special needs schools and similar charities when they visit the Isle of Man. Many special needs schools wish to block book Braddan Bridge House, however many of these schools have a very tight budget. If you would like to sponsor a trip please contact Kevin Quirk on [email protected] for more details.
A donation can be made to the above address.
With the continued support of the Manx community, local businesses, our overseas supporters and Joey Dunlop fans throughout the world, we can raise the funds needed to maintain this fitting memorial to the great 'King of the Road' Joey Dunlop.
